The aim is to get citizen scientists to survey their local areas and record the occurrence of these wonderful aquatic insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Biodiversity website has&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/biodiversityireland.ie\/surveys\/dragonfly-ireland\/\" target=\"_blank\">a section devoted to these surveys<\/a>&nbsp;and the distribution of Dragonfly and Damselflies are&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/maps.biodiversityireland.ie\/Map\/Terrestrial\/Dataset\/299\" target=\"_blank\">mapped across the country<\/a>&nbsp;with recorders details and species names. There are lots of gaps waiting to be filled.
